Nature’s best. Four new Organic Body Lotions to treat dry and sensitive skin

Organic body lotions not only feel great, but are great for you. If you consider that your skin is your largest living organ, you start to think twice about what you put on it every single day…

Switching to organic body lotions puts less pressure on your body as there are fewer toxins to process and eliminate. New formulations feel just as divine and luxurious as non organic counterparts so there is no reason to think of hippie products that smell like a 70s health food store.

High quality ingredients, innovative formulations and low key packaging are all hallmarks of great Organic products. There is a lot of broo ha ha about what’s organic and what’s natural, and which is better. For this exercise, we’ve focused on organic brands with varying degrees of active organic ingredients and different certification, but we do know that they are the real deal.

Cosmetic Industry Expert Mandy Gray recently created her own line of True Solutions Organic products to pit against the rest of the market. When we asked her why, she told us: “We spent nearly two years producing this luxurious organic body butter. We wanted to offer consumers a non-greasy, highly rich, hydrating body butter that is extremely pleasant to use and safe for everyone to use. Our difference is that it’s natural – yet very effective. Our True° Solutions Body Butter soothes and improves skin’s tonicity.”

Here are our top rated Organic Body Lotions – three of them are Aussie made!

Planet Eve Luxe Body Cream:
Absorbs immediately, smells heavenly, feels like a luxury lotion and quite frankly ticks all the boxes. We love this perfectly edited micro-range of Australian organic products and the body cream is a stand out. 200ml, $44.00 www.planeteveorganics.com

True Solutions Body Butter: Rich, creamy and deeply hydrating. Love this home grown product for its ability to turn alligator legs into smooth, sexy limbs on first contact. Lavender, avocado, macadamia and green tea work together to smooth, nourish and revive the skin. 100ml, $70 www.spauniverse.com.au

Juice Beauty Green Apple Extra Firming Body Moisturiser: A deliciously scented, easy to rub in formulation that makes skin super soft and toned. We love this Californian brand so it was no surprise that their body lotion is also wonderful. Honey, the juice of green apples and lemon, vitamins A,C,E and a host of other anti-ageing ingredients including co enzyme Q10 make this an anti-ageing skin treat. 300ml $59.00 available at David Jones and Myer

Kora by Miranda Kerr Organic Rich Body Lotion: Love it for the cheery blue packaging, the Gogi Berry extract and the fact that Miranda Kerr’s hotness might rub on to us if used daily. Can take a while to rub in, but this just gives your body a great lymphatic massage every day. Australian made. 200ml, $44.95, available nationally at David Jones.
