Charming collection of cute clothing at Kate Sylvester
By Chloe Michele
Kate Sylvester’s show for Rosemount Australian Fashion week was of the sweet, feminine kind with a hint of stylish edge. Models floated down the runway adorned in pretty pastels, dainty knits and flowing florals, in a show that charmed the audience with its simple elegance and femininity.
Pastel pink and green were the base colours for a collection of sheer dresses that left the audience longing for warmer times. Cute little stand-alone collars were matched with layered dresses with mixed and matched patterns that really worked.
Large bows ornamented the models' collars like elegant gift wrapping, whilst belts, flowers and gold chains accented the outfits perfectly by awarding them personality.
Tailored blazers, rolled above the elbow, were matched with high waisted-baggy pants rolled at the calf and Gucci loafers. Shiny ruffled skirts were reminiscent of fish scales; in a good way.
The models' stylish footwear was decorated with dainty white socks held up by tan leather sock garters- a very successful fashion risk.
Kate Sylvester was an excellent show to say the least, and has definitely left an impression here at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
