Editor Loves: Best Beauty Buys of the Week

7th OF October 2012

In Sydney, weather has been all over the place this week and my skin and body are confused. Steaming hot one day, shivering and wet the next. I found myself wanting a break in the weather and my usual beauty routine so I treated myself to some at home and in salon pampering for beauty inspiration and to shake things up a bit! Here are a few of my favourite things!

Neglected and hidden areas are coming out for all to see and it's time to get serious. Have you looked at your feet lately? Would you consider them strappy sandal worthy? No? Don't worry, I have a plan. I have been using Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Foot Cream ($7.99 Leading supermarkets, variety stores and pharmacies nationally) on my tootsies this week and have been impressed with the speedy turn around from dry and coarse to soft and lovely. Pro tip: A celebrity manicurist once told me to spend a week a year wearing cotton socks to bed for baby soft toes. I tried it out and hey, it works! Massage feet with this rich foot treatment cream, pop on your socks and lights out. Next morning, be ready for soft and supple feet. After 4 days, results are truly impressive. Fast track the process by spending an extra two mins in the shower to give feet a good scrub with an exfoliant and a pedi paddle or pumice stone.

Tired and dehydrated peepers? Meet your new best friend. Thalgo have launched a professional Eye Mask Massge Treatment which we tried and love, but what we can't stop raving about is the at home Hyaluronic Eye Patch masks ($59 from www.thalgo.com). Talk about SOS in a beauty box! Fine lines, fatigue, puffiness and dark shadows be gone. Forget a pre-date champagne with the girls to get your in the mood. This is the one essential beauty step you do not want to skip ahead of a big night (or day) out. Absolutely wonderful and instant results.

Skin looking a bit blah? Need a bit of va va voom to up circulation, boost radiance and wake up tired skin? Try a professional facial. This week I got to road test the new Ella Bache Spirulines range via a new 1.15 hour super facial.Ella Baché’s SpiruLines is a new and hardcore skincare range that will  target hydration, fine lines, deep lines for both instant and long term gratification. SpiruLines draws from super food Spirulina, a plan microorganism that packs 220 elements including 80% protein, vitamins, trace elements, minerals, amin acids, peptide and fatty acids. Yep, this one packs a serious anti-ageing punch. In addition the line inludes Hyaluronic Acid Spheres to instantly smooth fine and deep lines so my skin looked 5 years younger when I walked out the door. In addition to the professional spa treatment exclusive to Ella Bache salons, there are at home products you can enjoy.

The facial is $149 and available in Ella Baché salons and David Jones stores nationally. Call 1800 789 234 or visit the location finder at www.ellabache.com.au
