Sweetheart Style: Valentine's Day Hairstyle How-To
10th OF February 2012
Valentine's Day is on the horizon and you've no doubt got your outfit and make-up sorted, but what about your hair? Here is a fun heart-shaped french braid hairstyle for you to try at home. It's easy to do and sure beats your average braid! Follow these steps to get your hair ready for the day of love:

1. Make sure your hair is damp and detangled, by spritzing the lengths with KMS California ADDVOLUME Body Build Detangler ($31.95).
2. Using a GHD Tail Comb ($12.00), part your hair down the centre of your head and section the right side of your lengths up by your ear securing with a clip.
3. On the other (left) side of your head, take a thin section of your lengths (from behind your fringe or at least three finger spaces from your hairline) and begin to french braid this section from the scalp (making the top curve of the heart shape), making sure there are no flyaways near your ear. Once the braid reaches the nape of your neck, stop and secure with a Scünci Brights No Damage Hair Elastic ($5.95 / 12pk).
4. Remove the clip from the right side of your head and repeat step 3 (as above) on your right side. When you have completed the second braid, untie the first braid and secure both braids together. Joining the ends of the braids together forms the bottom point of the heart shape.
5. Comb the remainder of your hair and smooth out any flyaways. Seal the style with L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Normal Hold Hair Spray ($4.95).
