CARGO's Top Ten Party Tips and Tricks:

1) Glowing, hydrated skin is the secret to a fresh party look. Begin any make-up by applying a sheer, natural base make-up to the skin. My favourite trick for healthy skin is to mix a little moisturizer into the foundation to create a tinted moisturizer. Apply it to key facial areas, with a focus on the T-Zone.

2) For fresh cheeks, cream blush is gorgeous. The CARGO ColorTube in "Summerside" is a great choice for most skin tones. It will give a rosy glow to the cheeks, perfect for any party. Dab a little on the fingertips and apply to the apples of the cheeks. Finish the base make-up by adding a soft shimmering blush to the upper cheekbones. The will add highlight and glow to the skin.

3) For long lasting party eyes, begin the eye make-up by applying an all over concealer to the lids. Follow with a dusting of loose powder to set the concealer. The combination of these two steps will create a base ensuring that your make-up lasts all night long.

4) For holiday glamour the smoky eye is always classic but can be difficult to apply. Try using dark brown eye shadow shades to create this look instead of greys and blacks as they are easier to blend. CARGO's "Colombia" Shadow is perfect for the smoky look. Follow with a black eye pencil around the upper and lower lash line and then smudge with a little brush.

5) When working with dark shadow shades, apply a little loose powder under the eyes during the application. When you are finished your make-up simply sweep away the powder and any shadow droppings away with a blush brush.

6) Add shimmer and shine to the eyes by mixing loose shimmer powder with a bit of water to create liquid liner. Use an angle brush to apply along the upper lash line and in the inner corner of the eye. Silver and gold are perfect for the holidays!

7) One favourite party make-up trick is to "tweak" the lashes at the outer corner. Apply two coats of black mascara to the upper lashes only, and while applying the mascara pull the wand in an outward motion towards the outer corner of the lashes. When you have apply two coats of mascara in this manner, use the end of the wand to stick together the two outermost lashes, creating one thicker lash. This will give the effect of having little false lashes at the outer corners of the eyes, while still appearing natural.

8) Try a special twist on the smouldering eye by using fun colours instead of typical neutrals. Try tropical greens and royal blues in the outer corners of the eyes and under lash line. When using fun, bright shadow shades, always apply a black eye pencil close the lash line to add dimension to the eyes and top off with two coats of black mascara. Deep purples and aubergines also make a fantastic alternative to black.

9) Bring your natural daytime looking into the night by defining the outer corners of the eyes with a deep shadow shade. Next apply a shimmering highlight shade under the brows and in the inner corners of the eyes. Always apply a fresh coat of mascara. To tie the look together add a little shimmer to the upper cheekbones and add a bit of extra blush, just under the cheekbones. Define the lips with a little bit of lip pencil and fill in with a sheer, shimmering lip gloss.

10) Make your kissable party lips last with a few simple steps. Begin the lips by apply a lip primer. The CARGO+care Lip Base is an ideal choice for soft, subtle and long-lasting lipstick. Next begin at the outer corners and bring the line upwards to meet the "bow". This will give a natural lift and fullness to the mouth. lastly line the lower lip line. I sometimes like to fill in the lip line with the lip pencil to make the lipstick really last. This will also prevent hard lip lines. Top off with a lipstick or lipgloss.
