Designer Bio

A one-time stylist to the stars, Alice McCall began her design career while living in London, creating one-off silk tops and dresses. She soon managed to grab the attention of some British fashion heavyweights including Kate Moss and stylist Katie England. After extremely successful design stints with UK label Buddhist Punk and sass & bide, Alice launched her own label, alice McCALL, at Australian Fashion Week in 2004. Collaborations with Target, General Pants, Topshop and hair-care company Sunsilk have helped Alice make her mark in the fashion community. The first alice McCALL store opened in Surry Hills in November of last year.

Brand Ethos

alice McCALL combines girlish charm with rock-and-roll edge and a touch of bohemian flair. Silky blouses, playful cut-outs and floral designs are recurring themes in her collections. The label is heavily influenced by the 1960s and ’70s with minidresses, loose-flowing pants, fringing and bright colours.
