Nude & Skin Go Space-Age At The Races
10th OF July 2012
Racing isn't all about looking prim, proper and ready to meet the Queen.
This season's accessories are all about sleekness and eccentricity - a way to really show your fashion cred. RESCU is loving the race-going styles from Nude and Skin, two footwear designers who've decided to go into headgear and accessories - just in time for Spring Carnival.
The look? No lace anywhere to be seen - it's all about refined, sleek, unfussy chic. We're loving the clutches - simple shapes in cool contrasting neons and lemons, with a hint of silver.
There are also dark floral options, if you just can't abandon your tea-party style.
However, their real movers and shakers are the headwear department. Fascinators are hard to do well - go badly and you end up with a muss of fluff on your head. Nude and Skin have produced a line with classic colours - yellow, peachy red, royal blue - and much more interesting designs than the usual bunch-of-feathers.
We're particularly loving the French-inspired designs, mimicking stylish black-and-white hats from the 1930s. Tres Parisienne.
However, the stand-out of the entire collection? The houndstooth bunny ear fascinators. RESCU loves a big splash, and this is just the way forward for the Anna Della Russos of the racing crowd.
Will you be wearing Nude and Skin come racing season?
