Fashion Palette New York Debut

This week has marked an exciting milestone for the Australian fashion industry with the unveiling of the first ever Fashion Palette New York (FPNY).
The week-long event, kicked off with an exclusive Australian-only VIP Runway show on September 4, held at the Canoe Studios in Manhattan.
10 of Australia’s top designers including Toni Maticevski, Bettina Liano and Akira showcased their Spring Summer 2013 collections, as an integral part of the FPNY debut line-up.
Bowie Wong, Bruno Schiavi, jewellery designer Samantha Wills as well as contemporary designers Nomiki Glynatsis and Betty Tran also presented their latest designs, with collections from eveningwear label Jatine and luxury accessories brand Suzy O’Rourke Millinery completing the first night’s show.
Akira opened the runway, with an array of never before seen elegant silhouettes whilst Toni Maticevski closed the catwalk with his intricately detailed chic designs.
After four successful years, Sydney-based company Fashion Palette have created this New York extension to provide some of Australia’s most celebrated designers the opportunity of unveiling their collections on a global scale.
FPNY is expected to open up a whole new network of buyers, media and consumers for the Australian fashion market.
