Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Hit the High Street

The Olsen twins - who have gone from child TV stars to fashion heavyweights - have had major success with their labels The Row and Elizabeth and James. 

The designer twins debuted their Stylemint collection in the US a year ago and will now see the line in the UK.

Already attracting a celebrity following, including Rachel Bilson, Chloe Moretz and Dakota Fanning, the range is aimed at making fashion affordable, with most items, such as tops, dresses and skirts costing under £20.

Earlier this month, Mary-Kate and Ashley were named Council of Fashion Deisgners of America (CFDA)'s Womenswear Designer of the Year for The Row.

That hasn't been the duo's only recent success - their Superga sneaker range collab with Steve Madden was an instant hit.

Ashley said, "When we first met with Steve Madden, who we've collaborated with for a long time, I was wearing my old, beat-up Supergas and he said, 'Oh I've been wanting to buy that company,' and I said, 'Well, you know if you do, please think of us.'

"Now our styles for The Row have sold out in a matter of hours when they first came online, and we're thrilled, we really are."

Mary-Kate and Ashley are not the only celebrities to team with Stylemint, as singer Cheryl Cole previously launched a shoe range through the site.
