The World’s Longest Catwalk and Are You an Aspiring Fashion Designer?
10th OF August 2012
Scandinavian shoe brand ECCO will stage the world’s longest catwalk in Sydney to showcase its latest collection and StyleXpose are looking for budding Australian fashion designers to participate in its annual fashion show competition.
The current world record for the longest catwalk is 2,297 metres and ECCO plan to eclipse that figure when it unveils its Sculptured 65 high heel collection and Spring/Summer 2012 collection on a custom-built runway.
The event, hosted by esteemed author Mia Freedman, promises to demonstrate that ECCO shoes can go the distance – without comprising style.
Adding to the excitement of the fashion show will be the models – all of whom are making their runway debut. Among them will be Dylan Cooper, Stylehunter.com’s Sydney Insider and a MBFWA favourite of RESCU. Even you could be strutting your stuff – members of the public can win a spot on the runway through ECCO Shoes Australia’s Facebook page.
The event will take place on Friday 24 August at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
Are you an up-and-coming Australian designer looking for an opportunity to show off your wares?
StyleXpose are searching for young Australian designers to take part in a fashion show at Fringe Bar in Sydney’s Paddington on Wednesday 19th September.
Be one of a handful of designers in the running for the ultimate start in the industry.
The winner – judged by fashion industry experts – will have the opportunity to sell their collection at CAPITAL L boutique in Paddington as well as three months of PR and mentoring from RAW Fashion Agency.
