Book Of The Week: Me Before You By JoJo Moyes
16th OF February 2012
If you like Jill Mansell and Marian Keyes, then you’re going to love Jojo Moyes and her new book, Me Before You. Jojo Moyes is making a real name for herself within the genre and this is her best book yet- I read it in almost one whole sitting!
Lou Clark’s life is perfectly ordinary, with a job at the local tea shop and a boyfriend she might love. Her life is sent into turmoil however, when she loses her job and has to take any new position she can get in order to support her family. The new position turns out to be caring for Will Traynor, a young man made quadriplegic by a motorbike accident and in a state of perpetual despair over his condition. Lou and her colourful shoelaces explode into Will’s life and both will be profoundly changed by the experience. Me Before You is chicklit at its absolute best, with warm characters, a loveable heroine and a plot guaranteed to draw a few tears.
Book Review: ‘What a wonderful, thoughtful and moving book. I was riveted all the way through. Absolutely loved it.' - Sophie Kinsella.
