Culture Vulture For November
1st OF November 2011
By Nicole Landerer the Culture Vulture
This month, we’re placing our bets, picking out a hat and popping open the bubbly as Melbourne Cup fever spreads across the country. Whether you’ve studied the favourites by heart or never watched a horse race in your life – Melbourne Cup is as much about style as it is about racing, and that suits us just fine.
For the rest of the month, there’s ballet to watch, sculptures to admire, music to hear and parties to attend. And, we’ll all be wearing our white ribbons in support of fighting violence against women.
Good luck at the races!
