Adele Triumphs at 54th GRAMMY Awards Including Full List of Winners
13th OF February 2012
The 54th Grammy Awards, the biggest awards night in the music industry is renowned for it's A-List performances and jaw-dropping red carpet style. Pop artist, Adele, dominated all other contenders in her categories as the British singer took home six trophies - that's every award she was nominated for! The night's other big winners included The Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Taylor Swift.
With four Grammy Awards already under her belt, British super-star Adele, delivered a sizzling rendition of her signature "Rolling in the Deep," her first performance since undergoing throat surgery last year.
But that was far from the only highlight of the 2012 Grammy Awards.
"America, are you alive out there?" Bruce Springsteen he opened the show with his new single, "We Take Care of Our Own." Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys sang Etta James' "Sunday Kind of Love," extending their tribute to James, who died last month, to include Whitney Houston.
Other highlights included a Rihanna-Coldplay medley of "We Found Love," "Princess of China," and "Paradise" and a tribute to Glen Campbell, who revealed last year he is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, featuring Blake Shelton and the Rhinestone Cowboy himself. And of course, there was a mournful Jennifer Hudson singing one of Houston's greatest hits, "I Will Always Love You,' at the end of the In Memoriam segment.
