Brooke Satchwell is engaged plus Anne Hathaway donates money from wedding photos to good cause

The stunning Packed To The Rafters star told The Telegraph she was shocked when Gross proposed during their recent holiday to Cambodia.

"It's actually where we fell in love," the smitten 31-year-old told The Telegraph.

"It was such a surprise. I later found out he had been planning it for six months."

"He did very well," she added of her engagement ring.

The pair met while the former Neighbours star was then dating off-the-rails actor Matthew Newton.

Gross was the producer of Right Here Right Now starring Newton, Satchwell and Pia Miranda.

After Satchwell ended her relationship with Newton in 2006, two years later while working on a documentary with Gross the pair became an item.

Satchwell says she and Gross are in no rush with no wedding plans as of yet.

Newlywed actress Anne Hathaway is sharing the love by donating the money she received from her wedding photos to marriage equality groups, The Advocate reports.

"Hathaway is doing her part to ensure that same-sex couples across the country can enjoy a fairytale wedding like hers" said Adam Polaski from same-sex advocacy group Freedom To Marry.

"This week, she announced that she’ll be donating some of the sales from her wedding photographs to non-profits advocating for marriage for same-sex couples, including Freedom to Marry."

Polaski added, "We thank Hathaway and Shulman for their support and appreciate their decision to take the opportunity of their nuptials to speak out about why marriage matters."

The Devil Wears Prada star is no stranger to gay rights advocacy having previously spoken out about her experience growing up with her gay sibling.

In 2008, whilst Hathaway was receiving an award from the Human Rights Campaign she declared: "In my household, being gay was, and is, no big deal," she said. "When my brother came out, we hugged him, said we loved him, and that was that."
