Our beautiful Love and Dating Expert Kathryn Eisman got married in the last weekend of October in Palm Springs. Our editor Bahar Etminan was one of the 125 guests and can vouch that the three-day event was nothing short of spectacular. Kathryn signed a deal with OK! Magazine, meaning we were unable to spill… until now.
A big congratulations and all the love in the world to the lovely Kathryn and her new husband Siimon Reynolds whose love story is as beautiful as the bride herself. Read on for all the details.
The Story
Entrepreneur and marketing legend Siimon Reynolds and television presenter, fashion guru and writer Kathryn Eisman met in Sydney at a model agency party thirteen years ago. In July of this year, Siimon proposed on board a private jet, presenting Eisman a 3.5 carat ring. The pairs engagement was then publicly announced and it was confirmed their wedding would take place at the end of October.
The Event
The three-day event begun as the Aussie couples friends and family arrived at the Parker Palm Springs hotel
the night before the nuptials for a Moroccan-themed rehearsal dinner complete with Arabian jewels, a belly dancer and Middle-Eastern dishes.
The next evening Siimon, 47, and Kathryn, 30, took photos ahead of the official ceremony. Kathryn wore her first dress, a Reem Acra beauty with silk tulle and Sqarovski crystals, for the pictures to ensure Siimon didn’t see her official wedding dress before the ceremony.
After photos were taken, Siimon and his seven groomsmen
walked the aisle to await Kathryn’s entrance. With a string quartet playing, Kathryn, 30, walked down the aisle in a stunning Vera Wang gown. Standing at the end of the aisle the pair said the moving vows they wrote, exchanged rings and, being a Jewish ceremony, smashed the glass before their first kiss as husband and wife. As they made their way back down the aisle, Mendelssahn’s Wedding March played.
Guest were then led to a stunning garden full of flowers, fairy lights and chandeliers.
After dancing, drinking and enjoying the perfect night, guests departed back to their room but the weekend of celebrations wasn’t over year.
The next day all the guests were treated to a champagne brunch where they each chose a piece of rose quartz to represent love and an amathyst piece to represent peace.
Our editor Bahar tells us, "Siimon and Kathryn's wedding was a fairytale event. Guests were enveloped in a 3 day fiesta that had us all beaming with love and happiness. The attention to detail for each and every element was incredible. The food, the flowers, the location, the stunning bride and the touchingly emotional groom all made for the perfect destination wedding. The highlight for me was walking into the wedding reception held in a private garden in the Parker Hotel. The desert sky, the fairy lights, the flowers and the music transported me to a magical place. Oh what a night!"
The Honeymoon
After the nuptials, Kathryn and Siimon took off to India to Rajasthan, Delhi and the Taj Mahal. Kathryn told OK!, “I don’t want to lie by the pool. I want a bit of luxury but I also want to go and explore the world — and I find India so fascinating; the colours and the culture. It’s an otherworldly location. It will be really romantic.”
After 13 years of being lovers, best friends and companions, we’re so happy to see this wonderful pair enjoy the wedding and honeymoon of their dreams!
