Lady Gaga smokes a joint on stage, Tori Spelling hospitalised plus Lindsay Lohan arrested for hit and run

Raving about the benefits of marijuana to her fans, the ‘Born This Way’ singer said: "I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I've really cut down on drinking. It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music."

After taking a few more puffs she added how the drug’s leaf symbol has become the “new peace sign” going on to say how she plans to speak to US President Barack Obama about making marijuana legal around the world.

"It's like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it's going to be OK."

Gaga has admitted in past interviews that she smokes the drug regularly, but is her very public display of lighting a joint up mid-performance taking it too far?

Tori Spelling has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, following post-childbirth complications.

The former 90210 star gave birth to her fourth child Finn Davey on August 30 but has experienced problems ever since, stemming from her caesarean delivery.

Spelling’s spokesperson released a statement confirming the news, revealing the mother-of-four 'remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably'.

It was Spelling’s fourth c-section, and second within the span of one year, following the birth of her daughter Hattie just 11 months ago in October last year.

Lindsay Lohan was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning (US time) after she hit a pedestrian and failed to stay at the scene of the accident until police arrived.

Lohan was reportedly driving a black Porsche slowly through an alleyway between New York City’s Dream Hotel and the Maritime Hotel when she hit pedestrian Jose Rodriguez, 34.

Mr Rodriguez told The New York Post that after being hit by her car, Lohan snapped at him to get out of the way.

When the starlet took off Rodriguez called 911 and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where doctors said he had torn tendons in his leg and gave him morphine for the pain.

At 2.25am Lohan was arrested and taken to the 10th Precinct stationhouse. She was released at 5.30am and is due back in court October 23.

The injured man later claimed Lohan was ‘slurring’ her words and ‘smelled like alcohol’ but he failed to raise these details with police.

Rodriguez insisted that he didn’t recognize Lohan after he was hit. “I didn't know who she was until people told me. I don't know why she couldn't just do the right thing,” he told the newspaper.

Security footage of the incident shows the accident to be minor even revealing Rodriguez running down a ramp after being hit.

Lohan’s rep stated after the incident: "While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue."

But experts say this latest run-in could cause major legal problems for Lohan, who already has two DUI convictions on her record and is on probation in connection with a necklace theft.
