It’s clear Meester, who has played Blair for the duration Gossip Girl’s six year running, is completely ready to move on from the high maintenance character and chopped her hair to show it!
The actress revealed her new choppy above-the-shoulder bob at a Flaunt Magazine party in California on Thursday.
Last month, the 26-year-old starlet hinted she might change up her character’s signature long, wavy locks after the show finished filming.
“I haven’t really been able to change my hair for six years — and I used to do it all the time,”
“So I think if the mood strikes me, I’ll cut my hair or dye it or try different things,” she said.
Although she’s finally made the cut we’re thinking a new colour may still be on the cards, especially since Meester is in fact a natural blonde.
Meester isn’t the only star to make such a drastic hair change after filming ceases. Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson who played Hermione Granger on the renowned film series also chopped her hair into a pixie cut after wrapping up the final film, admitting the drastic change was satisfying and liberating.
