Ruby Rose wins charity boxing match plus Lady Gaga rumoured to star in Zoolander sequel

Australian socialite and DJ Ruby Rose has won a charity boxing match on Saturday night that she’s been training for over the past 3 months.

Despite Rose being up against a fighter with two years boxing experience, she managed to win all three of the 2-minute rounds.

After the amateur fight, Rose told the Herald Sun she was excited to learn how to box after being invited to take part in the charity boxing event, which raised money for youth mental health foundation Headspace.

Rose trained for two to three hours a day for the past two months to prepare for Saturday night’s match.

''I went up against a boxer whose been boxing for two years and she was a delight, really great to box with.

''She really put me through the works'' she added.

As a sufferer of depression in her teenage years, Rose has been a long-time ambassador for Headspace.

Will Lady Gaga play Derek Zoolander’s love interest in the iconic film’s forthcoming sequel?

According to UK newspaper The Sun, the renowned quirky songstress has reportedly been offered $US4.8 million to feature in Ben Stiller’s Zoolander 2.

Gaga is said to be on a short list up against stars including Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima, who are also being considered for the love interest role.

“Gaga is top of their wish-list. She has the talent and attitude - and an amazing sense of humour,” a source told The Sun.

Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell will also return for the sequel to play their respective roles as model Hansel and manipulative Jacobim Mugatu.

Recently interviewed by Empire magazine, Stiller who is the lead actor, director and producer of the project reveled his excitement to revive the beloved dim-witted male fashion model Derek.

“It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s basically Derek and Hansel ten years later,” he told the magazine.

Filming is scheduled to begin early next year.
