Food
Bondi Farmers Markets
Bondi is best known for its beautiful beach and bevy of local hipsters but it’s the rustic farmers market that has foodies coming back every week. We love the wide variety of offerings –think artisan breads, home-made ice blocks, drool-worthy cheeses and a rainbow of fresh vegies – and, of course, the beachside location.
Where: Bondi Beach Public School
Day: Every Saturday
Time: 9am to 1pm
Sydney Morning Herald Growers Marker
The Sydney Morning Herald Growers Market has been supplying city-siders with fresh food for 14 years now but what we love most about these markets is the unique Market Chef Stage where each month a different guest celebrity chef offers market-goers recipe inspiration and advice.
Where: Pyrmont Bay Park, Pirrama Road, Pyrmont
Day: First Saturday of every month
Time: 7am to 11am
Sydney Fish Market
As the world’s third largest fish market, Sydney Fish Market is an experience every Sydney-sider and tourist should have regardless of whether you’re a seafood fan or not. Those who can cope with a 5am wake-up call should book in for a behind-the-scenes tour to experience the buzz of the auction floor first hand. After the market officially opens, punters can enjoy not only Australia’s finest seafood and sushi but also all the bakery, deli, bottle shop, fruit and veg, and flower stalls have to offer.
Where: Banks Street, Pyrmont
Day: Everyday
Time: 7am to 4.30pm
