Dr. Mark Kohout is a highly trained plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, who delivers life-changing results to his patients.
Dr. Kohout is well-known for his expertise and is regularly called upon by the media to give his expert opinion. A savvy media personality, he has made regular appearances on the Seven Network’s Ultimate Transformations and The Body Specialist, the Nine Network’s Body Works and he writes a monthly column in NW Magazine. He also appears frequently as an expert in his field in various health and beauty related consumer titles.
Dr. Kohout has lectured in cosmetic and plastic surgery at national and international conferences and has published scientific papers in his field. He is also a regular contributor to Australian Cosmetic Surgery Magazine.
Dr Kohout practices privately in Sydney’s Broadway and in the Central West, NSW (Orange), and is well-known and respected in the plastic surgery industry. Specialising in jaw and cheek augmentation and operating in both surgical (everything from a brow lift to calf implants) and non-surgical treatments (including dermal fillers, lip augmentation and IPL hair removal), Dr. Kohout has made a name for himself as one of the most respected surgeons in Sydney.
Graduating from medicine in 1985, Dr. Kohout trained in general medicine and surgery in Australia and Great Britain. Whilst training in plastic surgery in Great Britain, he earned two prestigious fellowships. The first becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and then a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1990.
Dr. Kohout spent a year conducting microsurgical research, which earned him a Master of Surgery Degree from the University of Melbourne. He continued another four years training in cosmetic and plastic surgery in Australia, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1996. He spent a further year of training in Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School in Boston in the United States. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
