Initially launched in 2005 as an online e-beauty boutique, the economic global crisis and dodgy exchange rates forced us to re-think and re-invent ourselves. We reached deep into our souls and connected with our favourite designers, soothsayers, beauty and lifestyle experts to bring you what we think is the ultimate access-all-areas site.

December 2011 sees RESCU build on its impressive history with a redesign and revamp that will thrill its current devotees and bring in a slew of new readers. The new site is faster, easier to navigate and, of course, beautiful to look at.

Bahar Etminan- Founder and Editor RESCU.com.au

It was Bahar Etminan’s background in beauty brand management that started the journey—and her experience in other areas including luxury fashion, business development and even property marketing that have brought it full circle. 

Originally launching as Australia’s first distributor e-commerce store for cosmetics in 2005, RESCU.com.au was relaunched in July 2009 as the lifestyle hub that it is today.

Delivering on the byline “The expert site to RESCU your life”, Bahar has gathered together a panel of her go-to experts to address these subjects. The Experts, together with hand selected headlining contributors deliver daily content across the site plus RESCU TV, a YouTube channel that launched this year to showcase the extensive backstage beauty, hair and fashion footage the site’s experts have access to, and social media. RESCU's engaged Facebook page, which currently has over 10,300 likes and its Twitter presence gives you our readers a platform for conversation and connection with the site.
