Karlie Kloss And Vogue Italia In Anorexia Scandal

Karlie Kloss, the 19-year-old model of the moment, has found herself in hot water.

Her latest coup was an editorial in Vogue Italia entitled Body Kloss, featuring the model's first nude shoot since she began working at the age of 14.

However, one of the shots - featured left - produced such outrage that the company has removed it entirely from the Vogue Italia website, and it's now nowhere to be found.

The source of the scandal? Kloss's tiny frame and alarming pose. The photo has now found its way onto pro-anorexia websites which encourage eating disorders.

Kloss isn't a stranger to this sort of criticism. In the Victoria's Secret show earlier this year, she attracted negative attention for being far tinier than the buxom, athletic models Victoria's Secret usually employs. In fact, she barely had any shape at all.

This is largely because she works in couture fashion, where a size 00 is de rigeur for working models - but eating disorder groups are calling for Vogue Italia to apologise for publishing something so alarming and potentially damaging to young girls' body image.

Kloss and Vogue Italia have no comment. What do you think of the image?

The Pirelli Calendar 2012: Relaxed Elegance

The Pirelli Calendar began as an elite nude calendar for high-priced car buyers.

It's now become one of the most sought-after calendars in the world, a high-fashion event which has featured every fashion model worth her salt and has been shot by the cream of photographers: Meisel, Lagerfeld, they've all done it.

However, every year has its own individual vision, and the 2012 calendar is no exception.

Last year's, shot by Karl Lagerfeld, was exquisite - a Greek myth-inspired display of black-and-white beauty featuring Julianne Moore as a pale red-headed Athena in a metal corset.

This year, we've returned to basics - models completely undressed draped across various beach locations - but with a moody, artistic feel.

The Pirelli calendar is technically invitation-only, but a few are popping up on eBay if you're planning to invest.

The most famous in the past couple of years? The Japanese-inspired version, starring Doutzen Kroes, which garnered criticism for being - get this - not naked enough.

Ungaro Continues Its Downward Spiral

RESCU brought you the news earlier this year that Ungaro was in dire straits - yet again.

Giles Deacon left abruptly after just one season, amid rumours of creative rifts and no money flow, and now the embattled fashion house's CEO has flown the coop.

Jeffry Aronsson was brought on board to bring Ungaro back to life after disastrous forays into collaboration with Lindsay Lohan.

However, he's evidently given up and is abandoning ship - along with most of his surrounding committee.

The news is poor tidings for the house, which has tried to escape the poor publicity from Deacon's unceremonious exit earlier this year. It's had a reported overall loss of $51.4 million over 4 years, according to Fashionista - not a common statistic even in the recession, where even luxury firms have managed to claw out sales.

Aronsson was hired in June, which means that he lasted only 6 months - and the future of Ungaro looks increasingly dark.
